Do You Wanna Partner? Review: A Startup Story Gone Flat
Tamannaah Bhatia and Diana Penty team up in “Do You Wanna Partner?”, a dramedy exploring the challenges of launching India’s first craft beer brand. While the premise is promising, the film unfortunately falls short of its potential, getting bogged down in a series of chaotic and illogical startup antics.
Navigating Sexism and Startup Chaos
The film follows Shikha (Tamannaah Bhatia) and Anahita (Diana Penty) as they navigate the male-dominated world of brewing, facing sexism and industry hurdles. Their journey to create and launch their unique craft beer is filled with comedic moments, but the constant barrage of over-the-top situations quickly becomes tiresome.
A Missed Opportunity for a Refreshing Story
While the performances of Bhatia and Penty are engaging, the weak script and illogical plot points prevent “Do You Wanna Partner?” from truly resonating. The film misses the mark in delivering a compelling and believable portrayal of the startup world, opting instead for exaggerated drama and frothy situations.
