At the heart of the legal battle is comedian Kiku Sharda’s popular portrayal of Baburao Ganpatrao Apte, the iconic character originally played by Paresh Rawal in Nadiadwala’s hit film “Hera Pheri.” Nadiadwala claims that the show’s use of the character infringes upon his copyright and trademark rights.
