Downton Abbey: A Grand Finale Premiere Honoring Maggie Smith’s Legacy

The stars aligned in New York City for the premiere of “Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale,” but the evening was tinged with both joy and sadness as the cast remembered the irreplaceable Dame Maggie Smith.

A Bittersweet Celebration

Elizabeth McGovern, Laura Carmichael, Michelle Dockery, Alessandro Nivola, Allen Leech, Joanne Froggatt, and director Simon Curtis were among those who graced the red carpet, their presence radiating a mix of excitement for the film and heartfelt remembrance for their late co-star.
