Akshay Oberoi Shares Disappointment Over Takht Shelving

Actor Akshay Oberoi recently opened up about his disheartening experience learning about the shelving of Karan Johar’s ambitious project, Takht, through a newspaper article. He expressed his disappointment at not receiving the news directly from the production team.

“Crushed My Soul”: Oberoi’s Reaction to the News

Oberoi candidly shared that the news of Takht being put on hold hit him hard. He wasn’t privy to inside information and, like many others, discovered the film’s fate through the media. This left him feeling somewhat disconnected from the project he was once a part of.

Lack of Direct Communication Adds to Disappointment

The actor revealed that he felt it would have been more considerate to be informed directly about the decision, given his involvement in the project. Finding out through a newspaper article added to the overall sense of disappointment. He mused that perhaps he wasn’t “privileged” enough to receive the information firsthand.
